Glee, oh Glee, oh Glee

I am fully addicted, I am talking Peanut Butter Candy addicted!

After one episode I ran to Hastings and rented the whole season.

It did not disappoint.

I cannot believe it took me this long to start watching Glee.

Where have I been?

Even Aaron couldn't stop watching, or dancing!

I love every minute of this show...

When does the next season start?

We watched the whole first season within 24 hours!

It's full of misfits, jocks, and cheerleaders

and they all come together to be friends and support each other,

But really, That's just how Sue C's it!!!

Christmas 2009

For Beckham's first Christmas we decided to start our Christmas eve out by making homemade pizza!

After pizza we headed out to look at all the Christmas lights and spend a little time with Aaron's family.

We had a little Christmas miracle at our house. Beckham ended up sleeping all night long!! When he woke up he helped Aaron look at his stocking (he didn't really care about his)!

He did however love his basketball hoop. Good call Santa.

After we showered for the day, cleaned up boxes and wrapping paper we headed over to Aaron's parents house for a tasty dinner and more presents.Aaron had plenty of Christmas Cheer (in his egg nog).

By the end of the night Beckham was worn out but he was still able to

help me out with opening gifts.

He also slept all night long again. I think it was his new Christmas PJ's. They have a special power to them. He is not wearing them tonight, so we will see how the night plays out,

We had a great Christmas. A lot of good times with Family and Aaron has a week off of work so we will get a lot of quality time together. Can't beat that!

Holiday Cheer

For the last couple of weeks I have been wanting to do something nice for someone but every time I think I know who or what we should do, it doesn't work out.

I have been feeling like I am missing the Christmas spirit and I feel caught up in the worldly part of Christmas this year.

well, the last couple of days I have been completely deflated, tired and worn out.

Beckham's teething, up all night and we are both miserable.

Today around 11:00 am, someone was ringing my door bell.

I look like a had just been hit by a bus.

I had just brushed my teeth and washed my face for the day.

It was my new neighbor

The day she moved in I took over a loaf of Banana bread and welcomed her to the neighborhood

She is from Rhode Island and a retired hair dresser!

Believe me she fits both stereo types...

LOVE HER!

Anyway, the first thing out of her mouth was, "ARE YOU OKAY?"

I know I looked like Hell

After explaining my last couple of days to her, she had the nicest things to say.

My favorite, "You're so pretty, you don't need to worry about it".

She had bought Beckham a stuffed animal for Christmas

and Chocolate for Aaron and me.

Just having her at my house for a few minutes really lightened and made my day.

I no longer felt tired or sorry for myself.

I quickly realized what she had just given my

The Christmas Spirit I had been looking for!

It didn't take her leaving money on my door or giving us presents

it was her kind genuine words that lifted me up and made me happy.

It truly is the little things that make the biggest impact.

I hope I remember this the whole Christmas season.

Nine months

Last week Beckham turned 9 months old.

The day started out great but didn't end up so well. Beck had his check up with the Dr and he wasn't suppose to get shots but the Dr recommended the flu shot, so he got one. He did great until we got into the car, then he just started bawling!

I felt so bad for him.

When we got home I laid him down for a nap. After about 5 minutes I went in and checked on him and this is what I found... He was wiped out!

After his nap, we had to give him tummy time. The Dr. was saying he "should" be crawling by now. So, I left him on his stomach until he started bawling. When I picked him up he had smacked his head on his toy truck and cut his eye!

After that I let him jump in his jumper. He loves it and I felt bad for him.

The next day, back on the floor

He started out in a good mood, trying his best to move and get to things he's not suppose to.

Not to much longer and he was done...

He wanted off his stomach and back on his bum or in his jumper,

really anywhere other than on his stomach!

I am glad to say he is getting mobil and I am not too worried about him crawling.

He will get it.

Aunt Mikkel was so nice and brought him a cookie from Germany.

You can't tell but he was pumped.

At his 9 month check up he was weighing at 21.13 (70%). Height 28" (41%) head 18" (62%).

He is still my little husky boy and I am loving every minute of it!

Beckham still loves empty water bottles, clapping his hands, and taking baths!

Why oh why?

I ask myself why every time I make Peanut Butter Candy.

Why do I torture myself.

No, Not from depriving myself

from gorging!

I was only making them for Christmas plates for the neighbors

but something went wrong

when the store was out of carmel

and I was unable to finish all my treats.

I was left stranded with a huge plate of

PEANUT BUTTER CANDY.

I literally ate 5...

5 pieces of candy for BREAKFAST!

Oh, I better finish the Christmas plates fast

there are only 4 pieces left,

and yes, I blame the store that was out of the Carmel!

Oh Curry...

Curry. One little spice has completely controlled my life for the past 2 weeks.

I LOVE red chicken curry from the thai food place and I have been cooking a lot more these days so I figured I should try and cook something with curry in it.

NOT A GOOD IDEA!

Everything I have made has been gross, bland, and my house has smelled funky.

I don't know what I am doing!

Does anyone have a good curry recipe?

Could it just be the curry powder I am using?

Even the one recipe we had a couple of months ago that we liked, now is gross...

I did use different curry,

until I hear something encouraging I am giving up on the curry.

I will leave the curry cooking to the Thai food place for now.

HELP ME!

Off to SLC

We finally decided the world would not end if we left Beckham while we went to Utah. My sister Deena was kind, or should I say Crazy enough to take him for the weekend so we could have some alone time.

Beckham could have cared less... This is his sad face when we were saying good bye!

Me on the other hand, I was fighting the tears (no pictures allowed).

I was able to get my hair done. That my friend is a Christmas Miracle and a gift to everyone! After that, we were starving.

It was a toss up between P.F. Changes and... Chick Fil A!

After weeks of watching College football

we had to go with the chicken!

In fact, we ate, went shopping for a couple of hours, fought the traffic, and went back for more Chick Fil A! It was pretty funny, Aaron decided to go thru the drive thru and he jokingly said,"What if the same girl takes our order?" Sure enough it was the same girl. She had to of thought we were crazy or on our way to being on the Biggest Loser!

The shame was so worth it!

In the morning we woke up and headed to Park City for some more SHOPPING!!!

Tis the season.

After we were shopped out we headed back down the canyon and the snow was coming down. I should have taken pictures... Dang it!

It was a fun weekend. I am glad we took the opportunity to leave Beckham and have a little time to ourselves.

I was also really excited to come home to see Beckham!

Ever since our little trip, Beckham is much more excited to see his Dad.

I think he is punishing me....

Thanksgiving

We were able to spend Thanksgiving with my family in Twin Falls. It

is not very often we head that way so we TRIED to enjoy every minute of it. Beckham is such a good baby but for some reason when we stay somewhere other than our house, he will not sleep. This stresses me out... But we had a great time.

My brother in-law Josh is in a band and he just had these T-shirts made up so we were all lucky enough to get them.

The true highlight of the trip came at 1:00 in the morning when Beckham decided not to sleep. We ended up getting up and driving around Twin Falls so he would close his eyes, which he did, spoiled! But we checked out all the black Friday shoppers and ran back to my moms house and reported on how long the lines where getting.

I am so thankful for our families. They help us so much and they are a blast to hang out with!

My number one thing I am grateful for is Stacey

She is the type of best friend everyone would want. She has been there for me for the past 10 years. Good and Bad, it didn't matter, Stacey was right there beside me. She dropped everything when I decided we should go to the Fiesta Bowl at the last minute. We drove all night and she was sick. You never would have guessed. We had a blast!

I even talked her into running a couple of races with me this past summer. That's true friendship.

Stacey ended up having a stroke this past weekend, at a very young age. It hit me like a ton of bricks. My partner in crime was sent down to the University of Utah Hospital for some testing and I was relived to find out that she is going to be fine. REALLY scary non the less. She is having surgery today to fix the whole in her heart which caused the stroke. DR's say, she will be as good as new when they are done with her. I couldn't be more excited. I am now ready for her to come home and be back by all the people who love her.
