A Very Merry Unbirthday to YOU

This past weekend was the annual tea party at Grandma's house.
My little sisters put one on every year for the grandkids.
They put so much into it and it always turns out to be a blast. I am mad I didn't take more pictures of all the things they had set up, UGH!
When we arrived at "WONDERLAND" there was a sign on the door that said,
Welcome to Wonderland.
As we walked in the door, we were greeted by my little sisters dressed up as the Cheshire Cat, and I believe the other two were the Mad Hatters.
The table was set

We had everything from Veggie face plates
Fruit Kabobs
and cookies that said, Eat me and Take one

After a few group photos

We all sat down for our yummy lunch.
I think Beck's favorite part was the chocolate covered strawberry
After lunch all the kids got a mad hatter hat that they were able to decorate
and we played pin the mouth on the Cheshire Cat.
I am so mad I didn't get a picture of it.
Maddy, my niece drew a picture of the cat and colored it! I looked awesome!
The day was finished with the FISH POND!!!
Beck got the cutest sock monkey
The kids all got great gifts.
I even got a little something!
I am mad I had no pics of the rest of the day.
It was so much fun!
I am glad my Sisters are so creative
and take the time each year to put on the tea party!
So thank you to everyone who pitched in
and I look forward to next year!

Cheap is GOOD!

I have wanted a console table from Pottery Barn for Years!
I don't however, want to pay $800.00 dollars for it

This is the table I always look at online
Waiting patiently for it to go on clearance
The other day it WAS on sale
$699.00

WHAT! THAT'S THE SALE!!
COME ON, I thought we were in a recession!

Well, I refuse to pay that much for a table.
So I did the next best thing,
I had my Brother in-law MAKE IT.
He did an awesome job.
And for only $250.00 dollars, I had my Console Table.

This is it.
Even better than I had imagined. It only took him 1 day to build.
It took Aaron and I 1 month to stain and finish it!

Thank you for all your hard work Todd!
We LOVE IT!

A Little Beaver in Beck's Bed

There must be a little Beaver in Beckham's bed because when I went to get him out of bed this is what I found...
Those are teeth marks!
When I asked Beck if he did it, this is the look he gave me.

When I questioned him and said, "Beckham, you are the only little boy that sleeps in this bed. Are you sure you didn't do it?"
This is what I got.

A LOT of ATTITUDE!
FINE Beck, You win! There must be a little Beaver who sleeps next to you
Who LOVES to eat your bed.
Of course this is something he can agree with!

Junior Mints

I can't quit figure out what they put in these things that make them so addicting.
Could it be the tasty chocolate or the smooth, minty middle.
Either way
My loving husband bought me a CASE of them from SAM'S club today.
Half of the case is in the freezer, waiting patiently to be eaten!
It's best to eat them frozen.
I use to think my mom was nuts for passing up on the
"GOOD" candy bars
and heading straight for the Junior Mints
But look at me now,
A married, Mom...
loving Junior Mints
(must be true, you end up being just like your parents)

Mornings with Beckham

A typical morning with Beckham

Sleeping on top of the covers, not under them.
Binkie stuck on thumb, not in mouth!

Wake up and take a nice, long, bubble bath.

After the bath, breakfast is served.

Just what he ordered... CREPES with LOTS of powder sugar

After a breakfast like that, I like to believe he is singing my praises!

The one thing mornings are not around here... BORING!
Now that he is on the move I really have to watch him. I can't believe how good I had it. 10 months of knowing he wasn't going anywhere. Where I put him is where he would be when I got back...
I still know where he is going to be...
it's the places I tell him not to go!
Oh B, I can tell we have a lot of adventures coming our way!
