Christmas time!

I love Christmas! I get that from my Mom. She always went overboard with
decorations, candy making, parties, traditions and presents.

This year we had a little pre-Christmas party at our house
for Beckham and all his cousins. It was a BLAST!

They made reindeer food.

Candy apples, and decorated sugar cookies.
We also had steamers to drink.
This will be something we'll do for years to come.
Beck kept talking about it for a couple of days.
It made all the work, worth it.

Before heading to Twin Falls for Christmas Eve,
Beck sprinkled (dumped) his Reindeer Food.
Worried about wether or not the Reindeer would like it,
Beck tasted it.
Glitter and ALL!
He'll eat that but not anything I cook....
Twin was so fun. Almost all of my family was there, which hardly ever happens.
All the kids got there Christmas PJ's.
We wanted to get a picture with all the kids but of course, Beck wanted nothing
to do with it... PARTY POOPER.
Then we had the As Seen on TV, gift exchange.
Kristi was pumped to get this!
But not excited enough not to take Jared's
Boise State Snuggie.
We got home just in time for Santa to Come!
Beck had such a good time and Loved his presents.
We still can't get him to take a nap because all he wants to do is play with his toys.
I think this little fella liked his Christmas as well!
Having little ones makes Christmas exciting again.
I couldn't ask for anything more.
I have been blessed with an amazing family
and can't wait until next year when we can do it all over again.
Merry Christmas!

Hangin on

This time last year I was wishing away my time with Beckham.
I was counting on him growing up
helping me out more,
going to pre-school!

Now the thought of him not hangin with me
all day everyday breaks my heart.
I don't want to share him with anyone.
I know I'll need to let him go,
but for now he is all mine.

He is actually going to bed a lot easier at night.
The night time drama has eased up.
There are some nights when he really just wants someone
to lay by him while he falls asleep.
I am more than happy to be that person.
I love when I cuddle up to him I first have to move
a long line of cars and trucks that he has tucked under the
blankets in a straight line.
He loves sleeping with his toys. Not soft cuddly toys,
hard, small toys that really leave a mark when you lay on them
for any length of time.

He is napping as we speak, with a toy train resting on his chest.
This boy is awesome. I L-O-V-E him more than I ever thought
was possible.

So for now, I am hanging on to all the
little moments we have together because
I know before too long he will realize he would rather be
hanging with his friends and not his crazy, nerdy MOM.
LOVE YOU, BECK!

Times are Changing

Beck has an audience!
He is on display all day everyday,
he couldn't be happier.

I will over hear him saying,
"Espy, watch me!".

And he will.
Crosby loves watching Beckham,
I know when he starts movin'
I'll be in trouble.

Everything FUN ends in TEARS!

This weekend we loaded the car and headed down to
SLC to see the Christmas Lights.
I thought for sure Beck would LOVE IT!
I think he may have enjoyed them but was truly more interested in
the water fountains.
As soon as we got to temple square it started to snow!
It was perfect. Lights, snow, temple, and Christmas music.
Crosby was bundled up and just sat there the whole time.
Not a peep from this little guy.
He really is such a good baby.

It's such a good thing that I bought a double stroller,
I really needed that extra seat to hold my bag!
Beck refused to ride in the stroller,
he had to walk and touch all the lights.

He kept saying, "I want to hold em!".
every time we walked by more lights.
We had such a good time, until we started to walk back towards the car!
Beck FREAKED OUT. Crying, Screaming, completely out of control!

I thought he would love staying in a hotel room.
He hated it.
Crosby woke up around 4:00 am
and Beckham was up shortly after him around 6:00am
crying, "I want to go home."
At that point, I was cryin'.
Freaking out(as I rarely do!)I threw all the stuff back in our suitcase
and loaded the car and we were off.
Back home in 3 hours.
Hopefully tonight will be a better night.
Beck has only climbed out of bed 4 times so far!

I'm thankful for stinky breath and dimply thighs!

This holiday season I am thankful for my wonderful family!
Beck has been so fun,
waking up all night long talking about Santa.
When I take him back to bed, I cuddle with him
for a few minutes and his stinky little boy breath is somewhat
ADORABLE.

I am thankful that Crosby is healthy and happy.
this little guy is always smiling and when
I am exhausted from being up all night with Beck,
his little smile and giggle brighten my day.

I am very lucky to have such a wonderful husband who helps with the boys.
during the day when Beck is trouble he always cries,"I want Dad".
Aaron is a softy and I am the enforcer!
He has such a big heart and takes care of us.
EVERYONE wants Dad during the day, even ME!
COUSINS! I am lovin all the boys in my family right now.
Beck Loves hangin with all the boy cousins.
He followed little Owen around all weekend. You can tell
Beck watches his every move.

So, I am thankful for such wonderful family members
who do such amazing things everyday,
that set examples for me and my kids.

Crazy, But O' SO true

It just dawned on me last night when I was putting the boys to bed
after a weekend at my parents house.
We have a crazy tradition!

My family has TONS of traditions and I LOVE them all,
BUT I think this "NEW TRADITION" is my all time FAVE!

It doesn't have to be the holidays, it's just when the family
gets together, we always, let me rephrase that,
my brother Robert, always bets my sister to eat something
or do something crazy.

I believe it all started with eating 20 twinkies in 20 min.
I think she knocked down 13 and pooed cream for weeks.

There was the hamburger challenge. For every hamburger
she ate she would get 15 dollars, keep in mind,
we're not talking about sliders, we are talking Big Jud" style burgers.
3 burgers later, she was walking away with 45 big ones!

Sometimes my mom will step in and get upset.
One time we were going to pay her 100 dollars to shave her head.
with my mom screaming at us, in tears, that one we'll have to visit
at a later date.

I can't remember what the challenge was but one time
Grandma McBride and Aunt Kris stepped in and payed her not
to do the challenge. Can anyone say BOOOOOO!

This Thanksgiving it was 4 slices of cream pie in 15 minutes.
This is at the end of the night when everyone already feels
completely full and disgusting. Also, Mikkel, she's lactose intolerant.

All that she was getting for this one was 30 dollars.
After throwing back her lactose pill, the bet was on!
We thought she was messing with us when she started burping
and gaging. She was making record time and really only had
maybe 1 1/2 pies left.

Her gag reflexes proved to be TOO much, she couldn't hang on.
She ran out the front door and doubled over my Mom's shrubs and..
You guessed it! OUT CAME LOTS AND LOTS OF CREAM PIE!
With some time remaining she was allowed to scoop up the
cream re-eat it and keep going with the one bit she had left
in the pie tin. She just couldn't do it. She called it quits...

We'll have to see what the challenge will be at Christmas.
It will be good because my Sista Mikkel hates to LOSE
and for a month she has to be on a loosing streak!

Traditions are great.

Where's Crosby and window art

I have noticed a few things about Crosby,
more times than not, he will be completely covered by his blanket...
That is if he doesn't have it soaking wet from sucking on it.
He is turning into a good little sleeper,
Well, now that his gas is under control and he no longer
GRUNTS all NIgHT!
Here is a little look at what my little, big, fella looks like now!

I am so lucky that he is such a good baby!
He loves watching Beck and you can tell he wants to be right by his side
getting into trouble!
Here is what Beck has been up to lately.
Coloring on the windows.
I bought the markers yesterday and what
a good purchase. He has been busy all day coloring.
The best part is, if it gets on the wall it wipes right off!
MOTHERS DREAM!

I am not wishing time away, but I am looking forward
to the day when Beck and Crosby run around together
and play outside, riding bikes, throwing a football
(they have to get ready to play at BSU),
and jumping on the tramp.
I LOVE MY BOYS!

Halloween and 4 months

We really made the best of Halloween this year.
Thursday we went Trunk or Treating with my sister Deena
and her kids. Beckham was so cute running from car
to car, almost more excited about the scary stuff
in the trunk instead of the actual candy!
Friday night we went to Boo at the Zoo.
That was FUN! Lights everywhere and the
big blow up decorations, that I vowed I would never
have in MY yard... until Beck or Crosby wants it...
Beckham honestly couldn't get enough. Running around,
yelling trick or treat.
The best is one little boy was dressed up as Buzz Light Year
and Beck about messed his pants.
"BUZZ", he yelled and run up to the boy
and gave him a big hug.
The boy was cute and even shouted, "To infinity and beyond!"
Crosby on the other hand, could have cared less!
Monday night we went to their Grandparents house
for homemade donuts, yes please, we also took
Beck around to a few homes.

Yesterday, Crosby had his 4 month check up.
This kid is a tank!
20 pounds, 27 1/4 inch tall.
He is 98% for height and weight.

He hated his shots but did pretty good most of the day.

He is still slobbering like crazy,
almost getting ready to roll over,
Can sit up for a few min. when I prop him up on his belly!
Laughs and smiles all the time.
Loves to watch his big brother play and
just like his brother, he loves to be part of the action.

He is putting himself to sleep now and sleeps pretty good.
He has the WORST smelling gas and at night has a hard time
farting... lots and lots of grunting that keeps me awake
and I have to roll him on his side because it helps him Fart!!

BOOO... SNOW!

I have loved the weather we've been having,
it was a pretty good spring, awesome summer,
and even better fall...
UNTIL it started snowing!

This is one girl who LOVES the SUN.
I HATE being cold and I get so sick of
the snow...

I think Beck feels the same way.
He started crying when he woke up to snow
and I told him he couldn't go outside and ride his bike.

But just like me, he is making do....
He cuddled up to his little bro on the couch
and forced him to play action figures with him.

REALLY, He kept shoving the action guy
into Crosby's hand until he would hang onto it!
Hang on tight Crosby because it could be a LONG WINTER!
Oh, and Beck calls Crosby, ESPY.
I'll have to make a post about all the cute things he's
saying right now. I don't want to forget them!

Balding at 3 months

My baby Crosby is 3 months old today!
It seems like he's been here a lot longer than that.
He has turned into such a good baby.
Big smiles and laughs all day, unless he's tired!
He also has been losing all his hair.
It is time we shave it off.
His pillow looks like a cat pillow.
Hair everywhere... YUCK!
The best part is, the back of his head has tons of hair.
It's just the top that's thinning out.
I am thinking about keeping his hair, ugly and stringy
so he can go as an old man for halloween and
I can give him a comb over!
The other thing that's hot right now in Crosby's life
is his full figured thighs!
I actually love changing his diapers...
it gives me an excuse to look at him and all of his
chubbyness.

Crosby is also a big time slobber bucket.
All of his shirts are sopping wet after about 5 minutes.
He loves Beckham and laughs whenever
Beck gets in trouble.

The last thing worth mentioning is his gas.
This kid can clear a room with one toot.
SBD... Yeah, he's got them!
He is stinky!

Stinky bum and Stinkin' cute.
Love you Crosby!

2 days

It's crazy to think, but it is true,
my sister-in-law and I had babies 2 days apart from each other!
It is going to be a blast to have cousins so close in age.
One little girl, Pyper, and One big fella, Crosby!

Little Pyper was born 2 days before Crosby.
I know it looks like Crosby is 2 months older, but he
is the younger one.

I am sure this is the start of many pictures these two
will have taken together.
Hopefully they'll be the best of friends.

Beck couldn't handle it, he had to be in one of the pictures!
Beck LOVES pictures of himself.

Adjusting

We couldn't wait for little Crosby to be part of our family,
We talked about it for months,
bought diapers, bottles, and made him a warm bed.
We had everything ready so that little peanut
would be comfy and cozy in his new little house.

What we didn't do is think about Beck!

My little man, he Adjusted, he loved, he played by himself.
He brought me diapers, he was a big help.

He is now out of his CRIB and into the big boy bed.
He is struggling, he clings to the crib, wanting back in,
He hates going to bed. He cries "WHY!", every night.
He crawls out of bed at least 15 times before he'll fall asleep.

It has drove me batty. I have wanted to rip my hair out, strand by strand.
It just dawned on me...
He's still adjusting. He is finding his place, in his new bed,
and in the family.
I NEED TO RELAX!
Cut the kid some slack.
He's doing great and if he tackles this bed thing
like he tackles his little brother when I'm not looking,
Then he'll get it in no time!

So be patient Beck, I too am ADJUSTING!
