The Amazing Race

I know I have mentioned how much I enjoy the fall but one more reason for all of that is, my favorite TV shows start up again. Last night, The Amazing Race... Last season there wasn't a team I hated but this season I hate the Poker Players. I really like the Basketball players and the young couple from Cali. Oh, I almost forgot about the Son and Dad from Montana. I will always cheer for the family members who are trying to spend quality time with each other.

It was action packed and I am looking forward to next week already.
My only complaint would be it is only going to be 1 hour next week!!! I need my race drama, make it a 2 hour show every week!!!

And he's OUT!

Well, this picture pretty much says it all. For the past couple of weeks Beckham has been struggling trying to fall asleep. There was nothing we could do to get him to fall asleep. After trying to rock him, walk him around, leaving him in his crib screaming forever, we got out the SWING, or should I say they miracle worker! For the longest time he clung to the side of swing and focused on the TV. He wasn't going down without a fight.
I finally sat down and decided to eat dinner and Aaron was busy working on something when I looked over and he sure enough
Beck had finally crashed.

I didn't post his 6 month post but at his Dr's appointment he was weighing 17.13 pounds and his height was 26 inches. The Dr. didn't tell me what percentage he was in but to me he is
getting too big too fast.

Beckham is now rolling over and sitting up. When he is in his crib he will scoot all around but when he is in the living room he will only roll over onto his belly
then he lays there like a turtle on its back.

Well Beck, we made it through the first 6 months without any major problems
lets see what the next 6 bring us!!

Running the Gap

Stacey and I did it!!! We ran the 10k at the Pocatello Marathon. I would like to say we had a blast but really it was a little tiring. Stacey and I both had taken some time off before the race and I could feel it. I wanted to be done around mile 3. Lucky for me a lady had caught up to me and I had someone to talk to besides all the half marathon and marathon runners who were passing me. She helped me enough to distract me for the last 3 miles. I did however want to punch the girl in the face that passed us towards the end when she jogged by all jolly and said, "Come on ladies, this is the final stretch!". Maybe it was just what I needed to pick up the pace for the last stretch.

Okay Stacey, Now are we ready for that half marathon???

Oh the week of the fair

My in-laws own the Winder Funnel cakes booth at the Blackfoot fair so Aaron is either at work or he is down working at the fair. I decided to take this opportunity to head over to Boise and Twin Falls to visit some of my family. First  stop BOISE! We had a blast. We always have a good time with the McBrides. Saturday night we were out on the boat all night. I am not positive but I don't think Beck loved the life Jacket!
Payton, the best kid ever!

We had a blast on the tubes and Mikkel even got up on the wake board. I wish I would have taken more pictures because the next night we went downtown and walked around had some tasty pumpkin spice drinks from StarBucks and  just enjoyed the great weather. Like I have said before I love the fall weather.

The next stop Twin Falls...
Beckham loved all the attention he received all week long. I am trying to get him back on schedule and I had to remind him he doesn't need to be held all day. All of his Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents love him so much that he get plenty of attention. When we got back into town we hung out at the fair. We walked around and  attempted to go look at the animals but those of you who know me, know that I am a little scared of farm animals, we only made it by the bunnies!!

It is nice to have the fair over with because the Winder's have the best funnel cakes ever and I love to eat them. So until next year my funnel cake eaten' days are done. Oh, and it is great having Aaron back home with us!

Lions n Tigers and Bears, OH MY!

Today was Beckham's first and defiantly not last day at the zoo. Well, he actually could have cared less. He had this look on his face the whole time!
Instead of looking at the animals, he kept a close eye on Sam. He loved looking Sam and Sam LOVED the crazy animals.

At one point we ended up walking through this area and one of the animals was on the loose. The little guy was really friendly and kept trying to lick Beckham. It wasn't until after Sammy was petting him on the face the zoo keeper walked up and said,
"OH, She shouldn't be out... I don't think she'll bite!"

And on that note we were on our way.

If you haven't been to the Idaho Falls zoo and you live close you should really go. There is a ton of cool animals and there truly is nothing better the smell of fresh animal dung
(I am kidding of course). Next year I think Beckham and I will have to invest in a season pass.
Good times heading our way Pal.

Toss and Turn

Beckham has figured out how to move all over in his crib. I would lay him down on his back at one end of the crib and a couple hours later I would go check on him and he would be on his stomach and his head would be where his feet had been... I couldn't figure out how he was doing this, so I spied on him. He is actually getting up on his knees and putting most of his weight on his forehead and turning! Lately he'll move until his face is smashed into the bumpers on his bed or he'll put the blanket in front of his face. He LOVES to be smashed into things. I took a couple pictures this afternoon of him cuddling his blanket.
