Happy Early Birthday Crosby!

I can't believe my baby boy is ONE (almost.. Saturday).
Crosby is the sweetest little boy, with a short fuse. He will give the best smiles and loves
until he's had enough. Than you better watch out!!
He always wants to play with Beck, which Beck hates.
Crosby loves to eat. I think he gets that from me!!
When he watches the other kids play, he wants to be part of the actions,
I know once this kid is walking he'll be a handful.

For Crosby's birthday we did a baseball theme. It was fun. The little kids had a blast.
Too bad I was busy hanging out to get pictures of everyone.

Here are a few Pre-party pictures.

I was so out of control. I was making everyone use their hot dog holders.
They were the BOMB!
The sign says WINDER FIELD and we had a tee set up
so the kids could play a little game.
After dinner we had everyone load up bags of candy.
I couldn't believe it at the end of the night, I was forcing everyone
to take MORE Candy.
Come on people, load up the bags!!!
The kids jumped on the tramp.
Ate tons of Sugar cookies (looked like little baseballs), and candy!
This little girl is Macie, Beck's cousin. They're always hanging out.
She can put away the food! I Love it.
Crosby slept right up to the point of Cake and Ice Cream.
He must of sensed he was needed, to shine.
I was a worried he would hate it as much as his Brother, but he made me proud.
He dove right in and ate that cake, or should I say he sucked on the cake...
This is his cousin Pyper. She was born 2 days before
Crosby.... She is tiny and light, she can hold her own though.
She had her own dive in cake but it was done, so she went after Crosby's!

The party was tons of fun and it was a blast having everyone over.
I was Crosby and Beck would stop growing up soo fast. I love watching
them play and make memories with their cousins. It reminds me of my family
growing up. Tons of time spent with cousins!
Best part of the party for me, Of course the hot dog holder with the Nathan's dog
topped with SOUR KRAUT!!!
YUMMY.

After Math

I have come to realize that running is truly a love hate relationship for me. We have our Highest highs and our lowest lows together, sometimes this happens all at the same time.

These past few months Aaron has taken on training for a half marathon with me.
He has been amazing.
No whining, just plugging along putting in his time.
Race day came and we were ready.
We had prepared for this day and were taking it on!

We were flyin'. We reached mile 6 way before we thought we would and we were pumped, so pumped we stopped for a potty break! A potty break that took FOREVER!!! I honestly couldn't believe how long it took people to go... If you're stopping to go to the bathroom during a race, it shouldn't take you 5 minutes to get it out. Anyway, after we took off again, my legs were heavy which made my heart heavy. I had lost all motivation to keep going. My high turned into my low. My heavy legs wanted to rest and just like that I gave up. Hung my head and fought back the tears that were stinging my eyes.

Aaron was right there cheering me on. Helping get to that finish line. Plugging along side of me, with no complaints. He was AMAZING.  Once we had finished we came across our family and friends and were greeted with big hugs and smiles. I put on a brave face and pretended like I had a good time and that I was excited to have ran with Aaron, but the truth is I hated it. I hated every minute of those last few miles. More than anything, I hated the fact I quit on myself and I quit on Aaron.
After we started the long drive home, still fighting those tears that would creep in, Aaron started to rally the troops and pick up the pieces that crumbled apart during my storm. Just like in any natural disaster, he came to my aid to put me back together.

So did all my peeps and all of my Peeps, peeps! The running world is amazing. Full of
LOVE and SUPPORT.
Just what this little one needed. Her PEEPS!

Thanks for all the amazing words of encouragement and putting me back together.
My sun is starting to shine after the storm!
And my training starts next week for my next race, on my home turf, I will not lose to myself
 EVER AGAIN!

Perspective

I have been reading the BEST books lately. Both of the writers are ladies and they seem to really know themselves. The way they talk about who they are and how they see themselves is so interesting to me. I don't think I've ever really paid to much attention to how I am with other people or how I tackle things that come my way. So this past week, I paid attention. This is what I have come up with.

1. There is something about going to a movie by yourself. I LOVE it. I did not go by myself this week, but I met my little sister, who was running a bit late, so people looked at me when I said, "One, for The Lucky One".  And Slowly walked in, taking my time not to be rushed by little boys.

2. I feel guilty if the sun is shining and I'm inside. Like I'm cheating on the sun, with shade. For all those days of working a full time job and going to school and cursing out loud that I wanted to be enjoying the sun and not stuck inside. Now is my chance to soak up those rays. Maybe that's also why I love summer rain showers!

3. I LOVE watching people do things they're not suppose to do. Example, Last Sunday while my neighbors were at church, their 2 daughters, 18 and early 20 something, were outside jumping on the trampoline in their bras and short shorts, with the boyfriends, who were also rockin' their underwear. I couldn't stop myself from staring. Aaron kept telling me to stop but honestly I thought it was hilarious and I was concerned or anxiously waiting for their parents to come home!!

That's all I have for right now, but I am trying to pay attention to how I take on things to see my strengths and weaknesses. I want to improve on my short comings and be a better person. But like I said it's only week one and my list is still a little short!

The unthinkable

I am doing it! I am ditching my run. I had full intention to run 4 miles today, I might even say I was looking forward to the run, until I wasn't!
I took Beck to the park and he fell asleep on the way home. This kid has been anti- sleep for the past couple of weeks. His famous line has been, "No sleep, Suns up!". Well, bad news for me is just like Beck, the sun is up before 7am everyday now... And it stays up past 8 pm... just like Beck.
So after unloading the boys and laying them down I hurried and changed into my running gear and jumped on the treadmill. 1 mile into the run, I was thinking. I could be watching t.v. and NOT Kick Buttowski either!
So just as quick as I jumped on the treadmill(which I hate) I jumped off. I am going to skip my run and enjoy some much needed down time, by MYSELF. Heck, I might even close my eyes for a quick snooze. Just as I typed that I realized my house could use a little TLC as well... HUMMMM I'll have to see how motivated I get in the next hour! For now... QUIET TIME!

I hope these 2 cowboys sleep for a long time.

This GUY

After a look back on some of my older posts, I realized that I NEVER talk about how AMAZING
Aaron is. I am a LUCKY Gal! This guy does EVERYTHING for me and our boys.

This may not seem to be that big of a deal to NON-SODA drinkers (whoever you are)
but he always gets me a fountain soda. My one major vise, that I don't want to give up!
He signed up and is running a half marathon with me, MAJOR! He isn't even complaining
about it. ONE true TROOPER!

He's the best DAD. He spends his time playing with the boys. In fact, the boys would much
rather hang with DAD. Whenever Crosby wakes up, I know that little stinker is looking around
for his Dad!
I LOVE how much of a family man he is, He is close to all his siblings. They all act like a bunch of teenage boys when they get together. It's pretty fun!
I LOVE how Aaron thinks he's a better dancer than me. I think JUST DANCE proved that I am the better dancer.
Aaron, you're the best thing that ever came my way. You're willing to let loose and have fun,
put up with me and my crazy ideas. You always put us first and you always
make me happy.
I LOVE you!

Kick and Gunther. Beck turns 3

I really slacked this year on Beck's birthday. I was going to celebrate his big, special day in California, but at the last minute I decided to have family over and do something small before we left. Needless to say, it was pretty pathetic! Sorry Beck.

That being said, Beck, just like his first 2 birthdays, was a punk!!! He cried, "No candles, NO cake, NO presents!" He hated the whole thing... Until he opened his presents.
He has been really into Kick Buttowski lately. He tells me all the time that we're BEST FRIENDS, like Kick and Gunther! I secretly love when he tells me that. I think Beck is a kick in the pants. He is saying the funniest things right now. Last night, he wanted a dog. I told him No. He said "Why... That's not fair!" Well Buddy, life is not fair. Better you learn that lesson now!

Here is Beck and I in front of Boo's Door, Monster's Inc. ride.
(forgive me for my shoes, my feet were killing me by the last day of Disneyland)

Beckham L O V E D Disneyland. He was able to meet almost all the characters.
He hugged them and told them, "I Love YOU".

Every morning he would pop right out of bed and ask, "Go to Disneyland?". This kid was hard core. Every morning we would get there by 8 and we would stay all day and most of the night. Even at the hotel Beck was thinking of Disneyland.

Aaron bought him that hat and he wouldn't take it off. He wanted to wear it in the tub.
Beckham wanted to go on every ride. There was one roller coaster that he wasn't tall enough to get on, and he cried and cried. I though he was going to throw up he was crying so hard. He was really showing us how BIG and independent he is. He wanted to walk the whole time and no hands on all the rides.

He was even too cool to use hands on the rock slide!

These 3 musketeers had a BLAST. Rides, Candy, Late nights, and all day parties.
They did not want to go home.
Beck is the youngest and still can't keep up the cousins.
He Zonked out way before the others.
Like I said, even when they weren't riding rides, they were playing games on
the iphones.

California was so much fun. We could have stayed another week,
if only Crosby was with us. We missed him so much.
The 8 hour delay at LAX did not help with that. We wanted to see him!!
Next time Crosby, you'll get to come... PROMISE!

Spring Fever

Beck has a love hate relationship with Crosby. He hates when Crosby looks at him, plays with his toys, or gets held by anyone.
On the other hand, Beck loves to help SHOVE his binki in his mouth, rub the top of his head, and say "I love you, Espy." when he knows someone will think that's cute and tell him what a great Brother he is.
And he is a good Brother.
It was sooo Nice here yesterday. Everyone was out washing cars, cleaning yards, and the kids were going crazy. My little guys were no exception.
We're going to MISS Crosby like CRAZY this week. We are headed to DISNEYLAND!!!
Crosby gets to stay home with his awesome Aunts.
It will be nice to spend time with Beckham but I will always have my BABY BOY CROSBY on my mind. See you in a few days lill fella.
P.S. I expect his Aunts to have Crosby crawling by the time we get back!!
